When it comes to securing attention, there’s a lot to be said for keeping things simple.

This ad from Honda is a fantastic example of that, relying on simple, strong image assets alongside minimal copy to clearly convey its message: Honda’s incredible F1 technology is applied to their ground-breaking consumer e-vehicles.

Achieving an average Attention Time 120% above benchmarks and fantastic engagement rates, it clearly made a connection with Honda’s audience, ensuring they took the time to fully consider the message. And, it’s worth noting that this is just one of several creatives which ran across the campaign, with others featuring different vehicles and messaging – an important tactic when looking to ensure you’re running the most effective creative, or trying to reach slightly different audiences.

Playground xyz format: HangTime

Another example of simple, clean creative execution; the minimal, snappy copy which appears as the user scrolls through this ad from Asics really help draw the eye, encouraging them to scrub (scroll up and down) multiple times to trigger the animations. This creative scored superb levels of both Attention Time (94% above benchmarks) and engagement.
